Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are part of a technology team we like to call S.W.A.T. (Students Working to Advance Technology). The S.W.A.T. team delivers digital citizenship lessons to classrooms, train other students to use technology. Research STEM projects and most excitingly, are coding and creating apps. They are advanced with technology. Unfortunately, we do not have the technology to meet their knowledge and needs. They are educating their fellow students without the materials. With the proper tools we will have all our students coding!

My Project

The S.W.A.T. Team works tirelessly to bring the excitement for science and technology to our building. In the attempt to get the building excited about or school-wide science fair, the S.W.A.T. Team will host a science fair preview show.

We need a microscope kit, volcano making kit, solar system planetarium and solar rover kit to show off for our peers and get them excited for the big day!

The S.W.A.T. Team consists of building leaders who show other students that STEAM is exciting and beneficial at the same time. Combining learning and fun, STEAM builds knowledge, skills, and confidence. The S.W.A.T. Team loves to share their knowledge and background to help build it with their peers.

We will use the Declaration of Independence and Other Great Documents of American History 1775-1865 to explore social studies themes.
