My Students

Our students are the most amazing kids in the world. They experience challenging living situations, but they are on the road to greatness. We refuse to allow the environments they live in to define who and what they will become in the future!

Each of these students deserves an exceptional education!

We are working daily to overcome the effects of poverty, neighborhood violence, and trauma. These smart and talented children should not be discounted because of factors outside of their control!

My Project

After spending over a year out of school, getting high-quality books into the hands of my students is even more important than ever. We are planning a spring reading initiative where our entire school (students and staff) read a book together.

Our entire school will be reading The Carver Chronicles: Dog Days by Karen English.

Each day, we will read a selection from the book, and the students will have the opportunity to answer a trivia question about what they read. In order to encourage participation, I'd like to offer prizes to students who can correctly answer daily trivia questions.
