Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I school in a low economic area. Our classroom is filled with varying abilities and learning styles. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. For some, those are the only meals they can rely on. Most families are blended families and some students only have one parent.

Despite the many challenges that they face, my students are always ready to learn and eager to try new things.

I strive to provide them with rich experiences because they are resilient learners that love school.

My Project

It might be summer but we are already looking ahead to the fall when our students will be returning to school ready to learn! The brand new materials set the stage for high expectations of learning and growing! It's a new year with new supplies. My students will use these materials all year. The nameplates will personalize their desks as well as be an essential tool. The sentence strips will help them during writing class for sentence prompts. The pocket charts will be used to organize small group instruction. The labels will help our classroom be an organized and beautiful space, ready for learners!

These schools supplies will give students the tools they need to learn and grow the entire year.

The new materials will create a space that is ready for learning and will let the students know that second grade is a place to explore, be curious, and learn from each other!
