This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has an amazing broadcasting program that allows students to get their creativity on by making weekly video announcements. It also gives kids who might otherwise be a little shy to step in front of the camera and present weekly updates to their classmates. Our students have been getting increasingly inventive with their ideas for skits and news updates, and I would love to bring them the tools to see their ideas come to life. For some of them, this could be a career path that they may not have considered.
I know in my past life working in broadcasting, trying something new led me to a wonderful career in media.
Now I have the opportunity to show students a possibility and hopefully give them that same gift.
