My Project

Our school is located in a historically disadvantaged neighborhood. Our wonderful student body primarily come from first-generation and immigrant families. They receive a great deal of support from our teachers, not just academically but also socially and emotionally, in many forms.

My library is partnering with one of these support systems, our Queer/Ally Alliance (QAA) Club to read the LGBTQIA+ young adult novel "The Chandler Legacies" by queer Iranian-American author, Abdi Nazemian.

We'd love to provide personal copies of the book to each club member and schedule a visit with the author.
