My Students

My students thirst for knowledge and wisdom, but often lack the resources to quench their thirst.

We are a business-themed public high school, located in the heart of Queens, NY, the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world.

The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge that contributes to a dynamic classroom. However, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources and some basic supplies are scarce.

My Project

Presentations are a vital part of preparing students for college and career readiness. As such, in our classroom, we practice this skill very often. We use charts and our SMART Board, as part of the visual aids.

We would love to take our presentation skills to the next level.

In order to do so, we need the appropriate technology. How amazing would it be if my students could move around the room, interacting with their audience, instead of being tethered to the laptop permanently positioned in the front of the room? They will use the clickers and keyboards to conduct their presentations, from anywhere in our classroom. This will allow my students to have more engaging presentations. With your help, my students' presentations will be stellar! Your support is vital to our success.
