Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We believe that every student, no matter what, should have the chance at college success. The students at our school are buoyed up by a community of educators with the passion to ensure success. We are located in the middle of a diverse, working class neighborhood in Hayward.

This year, we opened a brand new middle school on our campus.

Over the next three years, we will grow into a 6th-12th college-bound community of innovators, creative thinkers, athletes, and change makers.

My Project

Our brand new 7th grade girls soccer team will put these soccer balls and goals to use every day during practice. Our basketball team is half way through the season, but could really benefit from a new set of balls. A storage case will ensure our new equipment stays around for a while.

This equipment will be used in future years, eventually benefitting over 300 middle grades student athletes!

At our new middle school, we see student-athletes bringing pride to our school. Currently, students must bring and carry their own balls and equipment around the school. It would be great if our coaches could provide the equipment at practice each day.
