Native American women are stalked, raped, murdered, sexually assaulted, abused and suffer domestic violence at a rate 50 times the national average. At our High School, I am working to create a program to empower my teen Native American girl students to advocate for themselves and to become "Warrior Ambassadors" for the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women of our tribes. I am asking for Growth Mindset Journals, Positive Affirmation Quote Message Tote Bags, and other items to create a toolkit for girls in the ambassador program. These items will help foster the girls' self esteem to create healthy boundaries so they may be influences of change within their own school and community...to help other indigenous girls to see their inner beauty and POWER as females. Together, we can create a culture of empowerment for young Native American women and change the statistics of abuse.
