Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so excited to welcome my 1st - 3rd grade self contained Life Skills class to a new school year. They are an energetic bunch and truly a diverse group of young learners who require an alternate approach in teaching prerequisite skill levels.

The students will be able to practice their math skills with picture math problems in their very own workbook, and will also be getting awesome math manipulatives to apply what they have learned.

The coin and money visuals can help to reinforce money counting, the matching puzzle will allow the student to count the pictures and match it with the correct number and with the other concrete visuals, their learning can truly be scaffolded to abstract mathematics. All of these materials in this project can be used to drive my whole group instruction, used in a small group lessons, or even for individual centers work.
