My Project

Whiteboards foster active learning and engagement in math classrooms. They allow students to work through problems step-by-step, visualize concepts, and collaborate with peers. Students can quickly jot down working and easily erase/modify ideas, which encourages them to take risks and experiment. Whiteboards also give teachers immediate insight into student understanding - they can circulate and provide real-time feedback. Additionally, the kinesthetic experience of writing on a whiteboard can aid memory and cement mathematical reasoning. Overall, whiteboards create a dynamic, interactive environment that supports deep learning of math concepts. Our students can't wait to use them.

Ms. Houwen Science Leadership Academy - Beeber Grades 9-12
