My Students

We are the Hummingbird Charm! Each day we explore the world of learning in and out of the classroom (virtually). The Hummingbird learners work hard to build a community of trust and cooperation with an appreciation for our unique talents. Every Hummingbird strives to take our daily adventures in learning and transform them into real-world application.

During this time of uncertainty and a whole new genre of how to deliver and receive instruction, the one thing that my scholars want is to "see" me (their teacher) do read alouds with some of their favorite books.

The scholars miss our time together and what a better way than to share our love of learning through books.

My Project

These books will be used during online videos to have read alouds for my scholars. They will be used as a resource and learning tool to help foster a love of listening to stories out loud (to watch over and over again).

Right now with the inconsistency and lack of resources to read stories aloud to my scholars, they have been begging me as their teacher to "see" me reading again.

They miss the times we sat together and enjoyed the magic of a great book. The wonders, predictions, questions, and visualizations as they listened to the story were cherished. I want to honor my scholars and bring storytime back.
