Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am privileged to work with wonderful 4 year olds in Pre-K at a high-need school. They are curious, ambitious, and absolutely love to learn! It is my job and my pleasure to help them learn new concepts each day.

These days children come into Pre-K on many different levels of learning. Some children are just learning how to write their name and identify the ABC's. Some children are advanced enough and are very eager to begin reading and writing. Our class desperately needs books and writing materials for students of all levels so everyone has materials to learn at their own level in our Pre-K classroom.

Our class needs books at different levels for reading, books that teach children how to read and write, book bins to store our books, graphic organizers to learn how to organize our thoughts for writing, blank books to be proud authors of our own stories, large pencils for writing, and an organization station to make a lending library. These materials will help my students enjoy learning how to read and write.

You can make it possible for our little readers and writers to have the materials they need to succeed! With your help my students can be motivated to learn literacy through fun, engaging activities. Your generous donation can bring proud smiles to the faces of my students as they read a book on their own for the very first time or read their first published written work to their friends and family.
