Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am privileged to work with wonderful 3 and 4 year old Pre-K children in a high need school. The children are very curious about the world around them and ask many questions everyday.

What better way to find out the answers than to have hands-on experiences that help us learn those answers? Our children need hands-on materials to learn new concepts in science. Our materials are old and outdated and we really need new supplies so we can learn science.

Our class needs blank books to create science journals, a big timer, a mystery box to explore our 5 senses and learn science vocabulary. We also need fun materials such as a "pet" tornado, a volcano, a magnet center, and lens prisms to learn about weather, magnetism, and light.

You will make it possible for my students to be super scientists! WIth these science supplies and materials we can learn hands-on all about the world around us and we can have fun doing it! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
