My Project

Community is so critical in developing confident, capable learners. By having a classroom carpet, the students will have a chance to get out of their chairs and come together to learn up close and personal! Students will each have a personal space for morning meeting and whole group lessons. Since this rug is color-coded like our table groups, transitions will be clearer and more efficient. ("Red row, get your backpacks... yellow row, get your bags...") In addition, the rug can be a cozy spot for students to stretch out, lay on their tummies, and enjoy a book during independent reading!These children strive for greatness every day, regardless of where they come from. Some children come from a family living in poverty and some from a country they moved from only days ago. No matter what, they are strong and resilient children who work hard every day to do well and learn to the best of their ability.
