My Students

My kindergarten students are curious, energetic 5 and 6 year olds. Their excitement to be attending elementary school for the first time is contagious. From their first to last day, they soak up so much learning that their academic and social growth is amazing to experience.

Our school is located in a small rural town with a close-knit community that supports our school's vision of "Creating a Community of Learners and Leaders".

Visitors to our school immediately feel the support that each member of our staff and community gives to our students.

My Project

Our Kindergarten students love to discover and explore new things both inside and outside our classroom. This project is part of a dream to bring a Learning Garden to our school.

We will be planting carefully selected plants that will attract caterpillars, butterflies, and other insects to help support our study of life cycles.

In the future, we will expand our Learning Garden to include attractions for hummingbirds.

The Foscam Outdoor Camera will allow students to view nature without disturbing the creatures that will visit our garden. The video feed will be projected on our classroom interactive board for exploration without intruding upon our visiting creatures.

The Lifetime Convertible Bench will allow a quiet outside area to sit and observe our Learning Garden. The bench can be easily converted to a table for students to make new discoveries and journal about their observations.
