My Students

I am moving to from fourth grade to first grade this coming school year and I cannot wait! I am over the moon excited to be teaching 18 wonderful little first graders next school year! Although I have not met my students yet since it is summer break, I just know they are going to be the very best class yet! I look forward to seeing all their sweet, smiling faces when we start school back up again in August!

My Project

Flexible seating has been proven to help students in so many ways, including: helping increase focus, motivation, and engagement, allows for choice from children's various learning styles, and allows for more movement and thus longer attention span throughout the day in the classroom.

Our children don't learn in the same way as when we sat in nicely lined desks and stayed quiet for most of the day.

We have learned better, and knowing this means change is needed. I would like change in my classroom. I have tables, but I still need flexible seating options to allow my students to have the learning environment they deserve. Please help me provide this to my students.
