My Students

I am blessed to teach an incredible group of kids each year! These kids continually amaze me, year to year, despite the learning challenges they face daily. They are smart, caring, and hardworking. When I tell you they are incredible, that is an understatement. The majority of my sweet students struggle to learn but refuse to give up. Our school is located in a low-income area, where all of the students qualify for free meals.

My students will now enter the classroom for the first time since the pandemic and it’s going to be an adjustment.

My hope is to continue to build a family with my students eventhough it will look a bit different this year. They know that in our class, they will learn even though it may look less traditional than most would imagine. I consider my students' families, and we will continue to work diligently together to maintain this feeling in my classroom.

My Project

We are Title I school with all of our students qualifying for free meals. With the abrupt halt in the school year, we went through most of our paper and all of our ink trying to prepare for the transfer from in class to at home learning. After sitting for almost 1 1/2 years, what was left of our ink has gone bad. My new students will enter next week and can’t wait to start publishing our writing pieces. My beautiful students deserve the best and I can’t wait for us all to step back into our normal routine. Please help me to continue their to meet all of my students’ diverse needs.
