My Project

The benefits of exploring a more complete and accurate understanding of one's local past—particularly Black history—while gaining insights applicable to one's national past are obvious. Students are empowered to contribute more fully to their local community, and the community comes to understand itself better.

I want to use headwraps, bracelets, and T-shirts to teach my students about their history and some traditional garments worn.
