My Students

I teach in an urban school which sets a goal for each student to go to college. Our students are grades K-12 and truly have a passion for learning. We involve ourselves and classes in projects which allow them to give back to the community, even though so many of them are in need themselves.

My students are a wonderful group of bubbly, creative 6 year olds in a transitional first setting and I want to help create the most wonderful and positive memories with them.

They deserve the world and my goal for the year is to make each day better than the one before. This project will help me create a warm, comforting environment where they can continue growing into their best versions.

My Project

These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that we work hard to create. My library is a place that my students really enjoy! Students are very thankful for all the stories they have the opportunity to read. All of these books will be incorporated into both in person and virtual reading times. This project allows me to add to my collection and provide many more virtual read alouds to my students. Students will face new challenges at home with many parents working and I know they will love a new book daily to read along with from the comfort of their home!
