Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Pre-K community garden area serves as a vibrant outdoor classroom, nurturing a love for nature and instilling essential life skills in our young learners.

The addition of a shed, storage bin, and rakes will significantly elevate their learning experience.

The shed will provide a secure space to store gardening tools, ensuring they are readily available for exploration and learning. The storage bin will serve as a repository for seeds, pots, and other supplies, fostering a sense of responsibility and organization. The rakes will enable the children to actively participate in the maintenance of the garden, promoting physical activity and fine motor development. These items will not only facilitate practical hands-on learning, but also instill a sense of ownership and pride in the garden.

Our Pre-K students are not merely learners; they are explorers, scientists, and artists, discovering the world around them through the lens of awe and wonder. It is this unique characteristic that makes them a truly special group of young learners, deserving of an enriching outdoor learning environment like our community garden.
