This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At Lynwood High School, our seniors are bright, ambitious, and determined to achieve their dreams. However, as students from low-income, first-generation families, they face significant barriers on their path to higher education. Many are the first in their households to attend college, some from families who never had the opportunity to finish high school. Without the right resources, their transition to college can feel overwhelming. By funding our project, you will provide our seniors with an iPad and headphones, essential tools that will support their academic success. In today’s digital world, access to technology is not a luxury but a necessity. College courses rely heavily on digital learning, requiring students to access online lectures, research materials, and coursework. An iPad will allow them to take notes efficiently, complete assignments, and stay organized, while noise-canceling headphones will create a focused study environment, especially for those living in shared dorms or busy home environments.

Every dream deserves a fair chance, and for our students, that chance begins with your support.

Their families work tirelessly to support them, but financial constraints make it difficult to provide the resources needed for success. Your generosity will not only ease this burden but also send a powerful message: they are seen, supported, and capable of achieving greatness.
