I have the pleasure of providing services to students in grades 9-12. These students are driven and intelligent, but due to circumstances beyond their control they lack a lot of the resources needed in order to make sure that they are afforded the best educational opportunity available.
The students that I services come from low income families.
My school is currently a Title 1 school. I enjoy being an educator at my school. I feel that the student need me and i need them. Despite their circumstances, they deserve the best education possible. I let them know that everyday they are loved, they are important, and they are somebody. I don't want them to feel that their circumstances have to define who they are!!
My Project
Although COVID instances have increased once again, my students are still physically present at school. While kids are at school, I want to ensure that they are in a secure atmosphere. Our students must wear masks, sanitize their hands frequently, and disinfect their seats after each class time. This helps us keep each other safe by limiting the transmission of germs. I want my students to feel safe knowing that their teacher is making an effort to create a welcoming environment.

For my students to use in the classroom, I'm seeking hand sanitizer, masks, disinfection spray, and disinfectant wipes. The students will wash their hands before entering the classroom, wear their masks throughout the day, and wipe down their seating locations with disinfectant wipes. Before students enter and leave, the disinfectant spray will be sprayed in high-traffic areas and throughout the room. These items will assist us in reducing the spread of germs in the classroom.
