My Students

I'm an autism spectrum disorder teacher, also known as ASD. I have a class with approximately 11 students, which includes nine boys and two girls. Many of my students live in poverty, which in turn makes it impossible for them to own a tablet. Many of our special education students can only dream of using a tablet . This is my reason for asking for a donation to help fund our classroom by donating enough money to buy at least three tablets so they can use Apps to help them with their Sensory needs and help them better communicate. They can put their disability and differences behind them while utilizing electronic devices .

My Project

My students will be able to learn how to use a tablet independently. My students will learn how to add apps on their tablet independently as well. They will also learn which app better suites their needs and the purpose of the apps. Students will become more tech savy with electronics once they have used the tablet several times. My goal is to to get them to feel comfortable using the tablet on their own. I will show them how to fill out a job application online so when they go out in the real world they know exactly what to do.
