My Students

Everyday we start morning routines using dry erase boards at the carpet. Well it's hard to complete routines when supplies are limited. Students constantly ask for new markers and are unable to complete their work.

My school is located in a low poverty area where parents work hard to send their children to school prepared.

It's hard to ask parents once for supplies in the beginning of the year and then they diminish with usage. Having limited supplies becomes difficult when teaching and everyone needs to do something at the same time. Luckily my students like to share with one another and work in pairs but, this changes many lessons.

My Project

Having supplies such as pencils, dry erase markers, and paper will allow normal daily writing routines to take place in the classroom. The students will be able to complete their work independently as well as in groups completing writing activities. Theses supplies are needed while copying notes, working in center activities, as well as completing computations in math.

By donating pencils, dry erase markers, color pencils and paper will allow normal daily routines within the classroom.

The students will not carry the burdens of being such great citizens by helping classmates who are not prepared. Students can focus on learning and completing their work.
