My Project

Our students at Patterson Elementary are creative, joyful and always looking for ways to brighten our surrounding community! These materials will help us start "Our Community Rocks Club" as an after-school program for the 24-25 school year. This club will be accessible to all students in kindergarten through 4th grade, helping to build community within and outside of our school! Not only will students be able to place their rocks in the surrounding community, but our school will start a communal rock garden (or potentially a rock snake!) that other community members can add to throughout the year.

In order to get "Our Community Rocks Club" off the ground, we need some supplies!

Students will be able to let their creative juices flow during our club sessions, so having a variety of rocks, paint colors, paint brush types, and paint types (pens and bottles) is crucial to the success of our community building project. We hope these rocks will serve as a bright, joyful bridge between the school and our wider community!
