This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching 2nd grade. I currently have a foam sitting area that is not big enough for all my students.

The rug is the most important area of my classroom, it’s where we meet to create our learning community.

My students use the rug throughout the day. We use it for shared reading, class meetings, partner/group work and sometimes whole group instrucción.

Help us get a classroom rug and provide a comfortable learning space for our students. Thank you for supporting my students and their education.
