Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For a majority of students, reading is seen as a chore. By providing my students with a safe space and fun area for them to read, they will grow to love reading and will actually look forward to it.

We’ve all heard of the phrase “Readers are Leaders” and that’s exactly what I would like for my students.

They are the next leaders of our nation and we need them to be fluent readers.

By donating a rug, bean bags, and sitting cushions you are not just donating furniture. You are donating a safe space for 4th grade students to enjoy their favorite book genres. Whether they love to read comic books, fairy tales, nonfiction books, this area will make it just that more special to them. Please help me make this year one where all my students, even the ones not reading on grade level, discover a love for reading. Thank you.
