This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love our classroom library. Their favorite part of the day is when they get to choose a book from the library to take home. Most of my students don’t have access to books at home. I have new students who don’t speak English and would love nothing more than to be able to choose a book from the library they can relate to.

I want to give my students access to books that’s represents them and their culture .

A majority of my students have huge gaps in their literacy skills and are two or more grade levels behind academically. The reading skills games will give them the opportunity to have fun and learn at the same time. Books and games are a great combination!
