Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are dual language, first graders. They are learning to read in two languages! They are doubly motivated and hard working. The materials in this project will support them on their literacy and language journey. It will provide high-interest, just-right books so they can practice their language and literacy skills in a joyful way.

I traditionally provide a cozy classroom library area with rugs, bean bag chairs, and pillows.

The books from this project will fill the books bins and shelves. The kids will browse the bins, choose an interesting book in Spanish, and read it in our library.
