My Students

My students are from NY. We are a Title I school, and the basic principle of Title I is that schools with large concentrations of low-income students will receive supplemental funds to assist in meeting students' educational goals. With that being said, my students are the most grateful people I have ever met! When they get to use supplies that maybe they don't have at home, it's an exciting feeling!

In class, we often get to use clay, paint, and paper mache.

It is a great feeling for both the students and me to know they have the items they need to complete a project. The children really do benefit from hands-on activities. The students are eager to share their projects with you.

My Project

We would benefit from having a microwave in our classroom for many reasons. Often times we need to warm up a snack or a lunch. Other times we need it to melt crayons for an art project:-)

There are many times our students eat lunch in the class and they often ask to have their lunch warmed up.

It would be a great benefit to have this universal microwave that we can use at all times during our day - lunch time, snack time, any time we want to make sure we have what we need.
