Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are extremely hardworking inner-city high school students. Most are first or second-generation immigrants from Central and South America. They are the nicest kids ever and treat me like an honored aunt. Many come from impoverished backgrounds, but they are generous and rich when it comes to their hearts.
Although my students don't come from academic backgrounds, they are anxious to learn and better themselves, and they deserve a chance at a great education and better life.
As an inner-city school in an impoverished community, resources and supplies are constantly an issue. Often, I purchase supplies for science and engineering activities out of my own pocket or build them myself.
My Project
Our class label maker died! Students use it to label their chromebooks and chargers and the workbooks I make for them each unit. We also use it to label our materials and storage and books in our science and engineering classrooms. I personally use it at school to label files and my filing cabinet.
PLEASE help us replace our beloved label maker which recently passed away.
Besides the label maker I am also requesting some books on virtual learning for us to use as references during the periods of time in the pandemic when we are online.
