This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi Everyone. I am a special education teacher for 8 amazing young-adults. My students work on vocational and functional skills throughout the school year to promote independence. Help me continue this goal while they are quarantined at home. Thank You!

My Project

Throughout remote learning teachers often noticed one thing during group lessons-Attentiveness! Each lesson and activity my class was excited and attentive in learning the class activities. However, home background noise and distractions I noticed they lost focus. By using noise canceling headphones that are compatible with PC and iPads the students can stay engaged and use the microphone to communicate. Often times, the headphones that the students had at home, didn’t have a microphone attached which left the parents unplugging them. To increase independence in their remote learning and stay focused, these will be extremely helpful!
