My Project

For the 2023-24 school year, my students are special because they will be experiencing elementary school for the first time. They are a combo class of Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. With new experiences and new people in our lives come an array of emotions and feelings. I want these little ones to be able to name their feelings and understand that their feelings are okay.

Our classroom calming tent will be a safe place to go when students feel big feelings.

They can relax, visit our classroom pet, and do calming activities like read books about emotions, learn about our pet snake, or cuddle up with pillows. This is our feel good spot. We are also requesting an entryway bench where we will place our class snake's tank for all to see.
