My Project

My students are learning new things every day and experiencing a lot that is out of their control. They are young and struggle to self regulate and express their feelings. My hope is that this corner in times of need; will help students who are hurting, anxious, angry, or need time to breathe when they seem to be carrying the world on their shoulders and don't know how to cope that they can have this calming corner to turn to.

The specific items will help create a peaceful, calm, and safe space for my students.I hope they can use the calming coloring books to relax, and get creative.

I hope they can use the stress balls to help relieve pent up anger as an outlet, the trees and seating area will give them a place of tranquility when they can't just go be outside on their own. Most of the activities will help students cope and understand their feelings to help them get the opportunity to calm down to then be able to learn in a classroom setting.
