This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, and within our district, the importance of a calm, regulated body is the difference in succeeding. We are so lucky to have a room dedicated to just that for all our students. Students can come for a quick individual break and sit in a rocker chair to listen to a calming machine to help get back to focus, or students will come with their whole class for a breathing and movement break. Each time, whether individual or group, students are learning the skills necessary to build stamina and regulation to be prepared with a strong, focused academic brain.
