Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to give my students a calm corner space with this beanbag chair, throw pillows, clipboards, and other supplies. I want to give my students the resources and tools they need to learn how to regulate their emotions on their own. I want to give them the power and the space to learn themselves and what tools/skills they need to identify their emotions and what they need to return to their window of tolerance.

My goal for this project is to supply a calm corner space for my students to give them an alternative space when they need to regulate their emotions.

Through this I feel the students will gain the power they need to learn who they are and how their bodies physically respond to different emotions.

Curiosity and willingness makes my students special. They have shown me time and time again that they want to learn more about themselves and different ways they can improve their mental health. I want to be able to give them that space.
