My Project

As an art school, we stay true to our mission of inspiring our elementary students through all different forms of artistic expression. Every week in our classroom, we work on art projects inspired by the artist of the month. This initiative is called Spotlight Artist and has exposed our students to countless incredible artists from all walks of life, including Mondrian, Botero, Banksy, Murakami, Kusama… the list goes on!

Our students are inspired to create in the artist's style we study each week.

To continue fostering their creativity, we need supplies! Depending on the artists, we use clay for sculptures, tiles for mosaics, illustrations with oil pastels and Sharpies, and so much more.

This year, the students have learned about Botero and created clay sculptures in his unique style. They created illustrative street art in Bansky's style. And used rulers and geometric patterns like Mondrian. We can’t wait to see what they will make next!
