My Students

We finally have an art club! I am proud to announce that our school will officially have an after-school Art club! The teacher is in place (that's me), the students have applied to become members and there's just one thing missing....art supplies.

The members of our after school art club are a bright group of students from Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY.

They range from grades 3-5 and are beyond excited to have a club they belong to where they can express themselves creatively. These boys and girls are resilient, even though they're at a disadvantage economically speaking and they are super ready to not only use the process of creating visual arts as an outlet but also to have a group they can proudly call their own.

With your help, our student artists can flourish and grow as members of the 2019 Art Club! The children are ecstatic and can't wait to create masterpieces that will hang in our school art gallery!

My Project

2019 has kicked off with a great start-our school has finally received approval to begin an after-school art club! It's been years since an after school art club was available to our elementary school aged students and now our start date has been made official. Our students are in place and excited to get their creativity flowing. The only thing missing are some vital art supplies.

As members of the art club students will be exposed to many mediums of visual art.

They will learn drawing techniques and styles from crosshatching to zen doodle to mandala drawing and much, much more. They will give painting a go and even try their hand at making collages. With your donations students will have access to the various supplies required to complete projects that pay homage to the great artists of our past and to projects that will mold their creativity in ways they've never seen before to help them become great artists of our future.

Having sketch books, markers, colored pencils, card stock paper, glue, acrylic paint, and paint brushes are just what we need to get our Art Club up and running from the start.
