My Students

This will be my 9th year of teaching and my first year teaching a classroom full of second graders. The school year has not begun but, I am excited for the new year to begin. I want my students to begin the year with every possible educational opportunity I can provide for them.

Our school is opening at a new site this year, which means many new students and families will be coming together.

The best way for these students to get to know one another, will be through collaboration and working together. I want to provide my students with every opportunity to create, invent, collaborate, and use those critical thinking skills! Along with creating, inventing, collaborating, and use critical thinking skills, we emphasize our school values (respect, empathy, acting positively, and responsibility) and becoming 21st century citizens. These citizens know how to take risks, create, collaborate, problem-solve, express themselves, and so much more! GO GRIZZLES!

My Project

An iPad mini will allow continuous opportunities of learning in not just this year’s classroom, but in my future classrooms to come. Using the iPad mini and carefully selected software, students will be able to create, invent, collaborate, and use their critical thinking skills. The iPad itself is a great research tools but, when you add in a district approved math application, you can really enhance their learning/math skills. Students will use the iPad all year-long, but there will be increased usage during Math and Language Arts.

Donations to this project will help our Grizzles become the 21st century learners of the future.

This will help them to think critically, innovate, create, and collaborate. Go Grizzles!
