This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are active, kind, talented, and curious students who love learning with technology.

I teach kindergarten students at a high-poverty school in New York City.

My students are curious and have a great thirst for knowledge. My students do not have many learning resources at home and are faced with many challenges inside and outside of the classroom.

Many of my students do not have access to technology. Despite these many challenges, I want to provide them with a classroom full of technology.

My Project

We live in a society filled with technology and it's an important skill to know and have. I want to give my students that knowledge, to think creatively and to have a jump start into our tech-filled world.

Its important to create tech-savvy students.

Students are required to use higher-order thinking and problem solving skills in the classroom. I believe that the Osmo gaming system (in conjunction with the Fire tablets) will enhance my students' learning and allow them to meet educational demands.

Using the Osmo Genius kits, students will be able to practice simple counting and move on to more complex math concepts. The best part is the Osmo Genius kits are designed to let students move at their own pace and will adjust to their level.
