Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my first year teaching third grade. I teach in a low-income, urban, Title I school. The population of the school is majority African American students. My students face a lot of challenges on an everyday basis, but it does not stop them from learning and being the best they can be. I want my students to push each other to be successful and be independent thinkers where they can define nonsense. I am excited to teach my students to love learning the way I love teaching.

My Project

The Osmo tablets will give my students more instructional learning while making it fun. Osmo will transform how my class learns by merging tactile exploration with innovative technology, while actively engaging my students in the learning process. Learning through play will allow my students to develop core learning skills with Osmo. My students will enjoy learning how to read or be creative with math techniques and the games.

The Fire tablet in addition, to the learning games such as the Detective Agency Osmo kit, will be the perfect way that students can be their own "detective" in learning while the storage device will allow my students to have more games that they will love in the Fire tablet.

The Osmo tablets will allow my students to learn without realizing that they are learning. They will be able to find the clues to find the solution or decode. I am so excited to have my students use this while in a small group to have a change from the traditional type of learning. Thank you in advance for your support.
