My Project

I am requesting assistance to be able to be trained in one of the top reading instruction programs for students with reading disabilities. Orton-Gillingham, is a researched-based, multi-sensory approach to teaching reading. This program has been especially successful with students who struggle with reading and those with dyslexia. As a reading intervention teacher, it is imperative that I am using the most effective approach for all my students. With this program my students will receive systematic, explicit, rigorous instruction in conjunction with activities that promote literacy skill development. This training also includes the access to the materials and resources that my students will be able to use.
