This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Lessons in math build on one another. Since a lot of my students start the year below grade level in math, it can be difficult to learn the current material at grade level, when things have been missed in previous grade levels. The items I’m requesting will help my students get organized while also providing them with a resource that they can refer back to as we learn new material.

I’m sure all of my students want to succeed.

They just have to be given the appropriate resources that will help them believe in their own abilities to succeed. I believe that the items I’m requesting will help build their confidence to help them persevere instead of give up when material may become difficult.
