My Students

Our school is a newcomer program that provides a warm welcome to students in middle and high school who are new to the country. Our students are 100% SLIFE, which means they have limited or interrupted formal education. The students and their families are learning to live in a new country and find a way to support their everyday lives.

In an unprecedented time of education, having our students organized will help them confidently continue remotely or return to hybrid learning.

My Project

The majority of our students use their current 3 ring binders to house all of their materials and carry to and from school like a backpack. Often papers are lost and dropped in the hallways or on the bus.

Organization leads to academic success.

A binder that zips will provide them with the opportunity to use it as a backpack and keep materials organized as they transition between in-person hybrid learning and their remote learning days. It will help them start a new school year organized and poised for success.
