My Students

Creativity, imagination, problem solving, and collaboration are key components to authentic learning in our classroom. I have high expectations for every student. It is my responsibility to provide a variety of learning opportunities to help each child meet or exceed their goals. Our school is a K-2 school with approximately 1,100 children enrolled.

We have a diverse population of ethnic backgrounds, a growing ELL population, a high percentage of students who need accelerated learning opportunities, and students who need reading and math interventions to help them establish a firm foundation for successful learning.

My Project

It is imperative students learn organizational skills at a young age. The folders requested will be used to organize work and serve as a communication tool between home and school. I'm also requesting rulers for hands-on math and science and scratch and sniff stickers for awarding amazing work.

The highlighters and pens are fun for students to use when analyzing passages, jotting notes when reading and helping them to visually organize math problems.

I am requesting pre-sharpened pencils to place at each learning station for the start of the year.
