Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, now I would like to prepare for the beginning of the next school year. Help me give my students a classroom that is ready for their new school year in 6th grade so that they and I feel at ease and ready by having what is needed.

My wonderful students attend school in one of the low-income areas of our city in deep South Texas but show a lot of potential in what they do.

Most of my students are ELL and at-risk students. Some of our students have economic challenges. Other students have a learning disability. Some of these students do not have the support to learn the basic needs to learn the organization and know what to do to be ready for the next day. Although, they lack direction at home, they show to be strong and willing to learn.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my classroom will also be used by my students to make them feel comfortable and organized. In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! Most of the material I am requesting is to help my students track their time and help them organize their planners. My students will be able to know where everything will go and make them feel at ease to know that everything will have their own place. What better way than to give our students that self-assurance of knowing what to do and be ready for what's next!
