This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I serve a group of high energy, distinctive kindergarteners. Some of them weren’t able to attend pre k because of the scare of covid-19, therefore, they are further behind than other students whose parent’s allowed them to attend school on campus. I would like all of my students to be able to have extra support in their educational journey. Kindergarten is a milestone for my students and they all need to have adequate support as well as classroom items to make their year run smoothly.
My class is in need of literacy, science, math and writing items; equipment, teacher supplies and other classroom materials are also needed to assist with a full year of learning.
It will be a great help if we are able to receive donations this school year. Thank you!
My Project
The materials requested will only be used in the classroom. The students will become more engaged with learning in a brighter and organized environment. The lack of decorations and supplies will make their learning experience worth being in the classroom. The materials requested will also assist me, as a teacher, become less stressed because of better organizing with the teacher supplies. Books, magazines, papers, and rotating centers will look and feel much easier than the beginning of the school year. The students will become more engaged because of the changes.
