Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am a 7th year math teacher teaching third through fifth grade for the first time! I love seeing students find success in math, even if it's a little bit scary for them at first. It's always my goal to see them become confident and comfortable enough to take chances in my classroom.
My students have nothing but love for our school and for learning.
Our school happens to be a low SES school, meaning the majority of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Because of this, my students don't always have access to educational tools that could be of huge help. It's my job as their teacher to see to it they have everything they need to be successful.
My Project
My students travel from class to class but do not have a good way to organize and store their materials in my math class. I want to provide seat sacks that will allow each student to keep everything they need for math in one spot.
Seat sacks will reduce the chaos that often comes with students having to go back and forth to different areas of the room to gather supplies.
Having the ability to keep required supplies in their space will keep students from feeling scattered and out of place. Being organized will help students be ready to learn.
