Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a second grade teacher in a rural part of Washington state. Our school has a diverse population with students who come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Most of my students come from low income, bilingual, and farmworker homes who all qualify for a free and reduced lunch.

Our school and teachers work hard each and every day to provide all our students with the best and most equitable learning experience possible.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support towards our classroom. We are very appreciative and thankful for your assistance and efforts to make sure each student has the opportunity to find success in second grade.

My Project

M students need materials to store and organize their belongings throughout the year. We are needing organizers to hold their headphones and for their papers to have during small group intervention.

A designated area for their headphones, books, and papers will help hold their materials and keep organized.

As part of our daily routines students will have a place to store their headphones quickly and safely. This organizer will also allow them a place where they can easily access their materials as soon as they may need them. Having organizers help the classroom run smoother and increase our learning time.
