My Students

Junior high is difficult enough without having to worry about where you put your homework. By providing binders, this project will let me teach students how to organize their schoolwork.

Very few junior high students think of "organization" as their number-one priority.

Many have a tendency to shove homework papers into their backpacks and lockers at random, misplacing assignments. This not only affects their grades, it affects their learning. If students have a way to keep all of their materials together, they will have the tools they need in order to learn in school.

My Project

With this project, each of my advisory students will get a heavy-duty binder with divider and that is large enough to hold materials for all of their classes. Notes, handouts, and homework will all be in the same place so they have what they need for every class and for working at home.

Imagine - no more searching for notes so you can study for the test, no more digging through a locker to find the assignment that's keeping you from passing a class, no more accidentally bringing your English notebook to your math class.

Learning how to organize their work now will pay off for years to come.
